Watch the Tutorial
(If you prefer reading, follow the full step-by-step guide below.)
OverviewIn this tutorial, we’ll walk through how to create a custom Media Agent in Editor — one that transforms any article into an Instagram Story styled around a quote.
You’ll learn how to:
Build a multi-layer media template
Configure static vs. dynamic layers
Add logo, background effects, and text blocks
Define custom prompts for the AI to generate quotes and images
This is perfect for teams who want branded, story-ready visuals generated automatically from articles.
Example OutcomeHere’s what you’ll create by the end of this tutorial:
An auto-generated Instagram Story featuring:
The article’s main image (AI-generated or sourced)
The quoted text in your brand’s style
Your logo overlayed consistently across posts
Step-by-Step: Building the Custom TemplateNavigate to Agents → Add Media Agent → Create New.
You’ll land on the Media Agent Editor, where you can start layering and styling your design.
Add an image layer and name it “main image”.
Upload your base photo (e.g., Billie Eilish).
Adjust to your preferred story dimensions (1080×1920 recommended).
Add a placeholder if you want to preview the layout.
You can layer subtle background tones or gradients for aesthetic depth:
Add a new shape layer → name it “background 1”.
Set color: white
Set opacity: 20%
Duplicate it → rename to “background linear”.
Apply a linear gradient (angle: 180°).
Use dark (80% opacity) fading to white (10%) for a soft gradient.
Add an image layer, upload your logo.
Style: border-radius: 16px; position: center.
Rename the layer to “static logo” → this ensures your logo stays identical across drafts.
Add a text layer → name it “name”.
Font: Inter Light, size 50px, white text on dark background.
Padding: double, Radius: double.
Align center.
Add another text layer → name it “main copy”.
Font: Inter Bold, size 50px, white background.
Add placeholder:
“If you have money, you should probably give it to people in need.”
Align center, adjust spacing and size as needed.
Add an image layer for the quote symbol.
Name it “quote background”.
Group with the quote text.
Add rounded corners (border-radius: 32px) for a polished look.
Rename static assets with the static keyword (e.g., static quote) to ensure consistency.
Group related layers (e.g., quote text + icon).
Adjust positioning and finalize layout.
Click Save.
Rename your new agent (e.g., “Billie Agent”).
Configure AI PromptsYour new Media Agent will have prompts for each dynamic layer. Configure them as follows:
Layer Name
Purpose
Example Prompt
main copy | Generate the quote text |
|
main image | Generate the background image |
|
name | Generate the person or artist name |
|
Result: Your Custom “Quote Story” AgentYou’ve now built a branded, reusable media agent capable of generating Instagram stories directly from any article in your workspace.
Each draft will:
Dynamically pull quotes and names from the text
Generate matching visuals
Overlay your static brand assets
Tips & Best PracticesUse “static” in layer names for elements that never change (logos, icons).
Keep your prompts short and specific — they directly shape the generated output.
Test multiple articles to ensure layout balance with varying quote lengths.
For consistent branding, duplicate this agent and only change color palettes or font weights.
